Thomas: Colindale

Q2. What are your favourite restaurants, cafés or bars?
Thomas: For dining, I highly recommend Golden Dragon in Colindale. It is widely considered by the London Chinese community to be one of the top spots for authentic Cantonese cuisine. I particularly recommend their Dim Sum—the quality is exceptional, arguably matching or even surpassing many traditional places in Hong Kong! An added bonus is that the restaurant is located above Loon Fung, a huge Asian supermarket. It’s really nice to go downstairs after a good meal to pick up some Asian groceries and take a stroll around the area with family.
Family / Kids Activity: If you’re looking for great local family activities, the RAF Museum in Colindale recently opened a brand-new indoor soft play area (AeroPlay!). It’s an ideal spot to take young kids to burn off some energy, especially on rainy days!
Q3. What activities, attractions or green spaces would you recommend?
Thomas: Spending a Sunday with family in that area is great!

Q4. If someone were visiting the city for the first time, what is the one place they should not miss?
Thomas: Beyond iconic landmarks like Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, my personal favourites are the Natural History Museum and the History Museum. Aside from being completely free to enter and full of fascinating exhibits, they offer a huge practical perk during the summer—great air conditioning! It makes them a very comfortable and enjoyable day out.
