With completion of the Old Gas Works Sutton fast approaching, Madilaine Rowley and Director Anna Langford took a tour of the site to bring an update on progress of the development and get a feel for the local area.
When completed, the Old Gas Works Sutton will provide very spacious one and two-bedroomed apartments. The specification is exceptional, with fitted bathrooms, kitchens with white high gloss units and stone effect resin worktops, complete with oven, glass hob, extractor and stainless steel splashbacks and integrated appliances.
Each of the apartments has a spacious private balcony or terrace, and the views from the upper floors are exceptional, commanding a view of Sutton and nearby Croydon, and even the London Eye in the distance.
There is also a secure on-site cycle store, and roof gardens offer some exclusive outdoor space for residents.
The Old Gas Works is very well situated within easy reach of Sutton station being within walking distance and on local bus routes.
Everything you could possibly need is within such easy reach. On the doorstep are a host of local shops, eateries and cafes. On the High Street are of course the usual suspects, with Starbucks and Costa, local bars and cafes in abundance, along with local and big brand stores both on the high street and in the local shopping centre. As for supermarkets, Sainsbury’s is on site, and Asda just a short walk away.
It’s certainly a very busy site and full steam ahead to completion with the first unit’s being released in December.
The development is at second-fix stage, and on the lower floors of Block B, kitchens and bathrooms are in, painting and decorating completed and carpeting has been fitted.
It’s easy to get a sense of space with great layouts, wide halls and plenty of storage space. The open plan living areas are well laid out, as are the bedrooms. These will make great homes.
