With a short delay in completion to conform to listed building regulations, General Manager at our Manchester office Nicola Smith catches up with the developers of Two Harter Street Manchester to see how work is progressing at the site, due for practical completion in November.
The development at Two Harter Street Manchester is in a popular area of the city centre, nestled nicely between Princess Street and Whitworth Street in the China Town are of the city and the ever popular Village.
The sympathetic conversion of this stunning former papermill will provide a selection of one and two bedroomed apartments and penthouses with a wealth of period features being retained including exposed brickwork, striking windows and original wood paneling in the entrance areas. Modern luxury will be applied in abundance with fully fitted kitchens and glorious roll top baths forming the centerpiece of the bathroom suites.
Checking on progress, Nicola said:
There is clearly a lot of work going on at Two Harter Street Manchester and work seems to be accelerating now. Structural work is near completed, with slating to the original roof and brickwork repairs, and the leadwork being applied to new roofing along with zinc plating. Inside, replacement timber flooring is in, the lift shaft is ready and first-fix plumbing is underway. The pressure is on and full steam ahead. I can’t wait to see what will certainly be lovely apartments all finished and ready to move in to. We are working with our clients now to assist with our hand-selected furniture packs. Exciting.
